Hello - having spent 25 years working in the film industry, most of it as a producer, based in Australia and London. I wanted a change - to regain equilibrium in life. The opportunity arose in rather an unexpected way - I found myself a member of the first team of women to walk to both the South and North Poles and Shadow Woods started to become a more and more important part of life.

For many years, I have dreamt of turning these woods into a place in which to welcome people and share their peace and re-grounding effects, so I was thrilled when Clive came to The Woods in 2000. Since then, he has not only cared for and revitalised them but has also been instrumental in recording the flora and fauna and their ever-changing diversity. Clive is a fully qualified Bushcraft Instructor who truly lives the life.

I am largely beholden to Clive, for helping me to bring together such a wonderful team of people enabling us to provide a very varied range of courses and events. You can read more of our team and courses in the following pages.
