Full of action and adventure, this weekend in the woods provides an exciting time where you can experience living in and with the natural environment.
This course is designed to provide you with the core skills, needed by the outdoor enthusiast. You will gain the knowledge and confidence that will enable you to survive in relative comfort in the natural environment.
Your qualified instructor for the weekend will demonstrate and give guidance on the safe use of tools and equipment, enabling you to learn the essential bushcraft techniques needed for living in a woodland camp. These include making your own shelter using the natural materials around you. How to make fire, using a variety of techniques, including friction. Foraging for wild food. The collection and purification of water and how to make cordage.

While our wildlife is precious to us all, hunting is still an essential part of woodland survival and hence your hunting skills will explored through tracking games in the woods, and axe throwing.
In keeping with the survival camp theme we will provide a cooking fire for you to prepare hot drinks and food on. Please bring appropriate cooking utensils including a stove if you wish. Although we will be foraging for wild food this will be used as a supplement to what ever you bring yourselves. We will be providing supper on Friday, Saturday and Lunch on Sunday if you have any special dietary requirements please let us know at time of booking.
